Talhaq Privacy Policy

Talhaq is a reminder app for prayer times, medicine and appointments. It is built so that most of what you put in it stays on your phone. You don't need an account, an email or a phone number.

What stays on your phone only

• Your reminders, their types and times, the prayers you confirmed, and your settings.
• Your approximate location is used on your phone only to calculate prayer times and the Qibla direction. It is never sent to us.
• The phone numbers of the people you follow in the family circle (for the Call and WhatsApp buttons).

Family circle (optional)

If you use the family circle, the app sends our server only what it needs to alert your family:

• A random ID for your phone (it doesn't identify you) and its notification address.
• The name you choose to show your family (for example “Dad”).
• Only for reminders where you turned on “Tell my family if I miss it”: the reminder's title (which may be a medicine name), its time, and when you confirmed it.

This data is shown only to the people you linked yourself with your code. We never sell or share it. It is stored on Cloudflare servers in Europe and encrypted in transit.

Retention: doses and alerts are deleted automatically after 3 days. A link stays until either side removes it. A device that doesn't connect for 180 days is deleted with all its data.

Deletion: Family tab → “Delete my data from the server” erases your data immediately and permanently.

Notifications

We use Google's Firebase Cloud Messaging to deliver family-circle alerts and offers and news. It creates an address for your phone so notifications can reach it. You can turn offers and news off in Settings.

Ads (free version only)

The free version shows small ads through Google AdMob on the Home and Settings screens only, never on the alarm, adhan or lock screens. Google may collect your device's advertising ID, an approximate location inferred from your IP address, and ad interactions to show and measure ads and prevent fraud. Purchases

Subscriptions and payments are handled entirely by Google Play. We never receive your card details. The app only learns whether your subscription is active.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13.

Health notice

Talhaq is a reminder tool. It is not a medical device and does not replace advice from a doctor or pharmacist. An alert can be late or missed if the phone is off or its system restricts the app.
